extending PCB tactile momentary buttons through panel

Ive just finished building the case for my project and mounting all the hardware, the only problem i have is the LCD shelid buttons are below the level of the panel, so you need a pin or pen tip to use them. Can you get button extenders for the PCB mounted tactile momentary switches. I know you can get longer ones but i didn't want to have to de-solder them and swap them over if i don't need to. I was going to try a small piece of tube maybe held on with a blob of glue? Any other suggestions. Below is the link to the LCD sheild i'm using with the buttons on. https://sites.google.com/a/gridshield.net/experimentos-en-hardware-libre/home/lcd-keypad-shield-test

There are extenders for those that look like small top hats but they need to fit under a faceplate (presume that is what you have)

3D printing also comes in useful for those as there are lots of pre made designs out there F.O.C.

Or a drop of super glue to mount some small extenders of your own making eg wooden dowel etc.

Maybe one of these with epoxy.

However, suggest you solder these in parallel:
