Famous Italian "exports"

If you want to organize an event in the right way, do NOT do it to an Italian.

Very old joke:
Heaven is where the police are British, the lovers French, the mechanics German, the chefs Italian, and it is all organized by the Swiss.

Hell is where the police are German, the lovers Swiss, the mechanics French, the chefs British, and it is all organized by the Italians.

cross post ciatation! MOOOOODDD!!

I can go a little OT in the spam section?

I'm a programmer.
For a new program, time consumed:

  • in Italy : 5% analysis, 95% coding
  • in Germany: 50% analysis, 50% coding
  • in Japan: 70% analysis, 30% coding
But I don't like Shusi and Krauti

Bajdi:
Strange that nobody has mentioned designer clothes? Gucci, Versace, Armani...
Italy for me is "design.

True.
And also handicraft. For example craftsmanship of Murano glass.

i think pasta is a "RE-export", no ?

ah yes, Murano - i was fortunate enough to see up close what they can make !

What about the famous scooters Vespa & Lambretta?

fiat. ]

NOOOO!

Bajdi:
...
Italy for me is "design"...

Good urban legend though!

Indeed: "Many believe that once an urban legend makes it to the Internet, it can never be undone."

Just to cite people of the contemporaney period only, I could bring your attention to Federico Faggin, inventor & co-inventor of several famous chips (Intel 4004, 8080, Z80).

And what about Olivetti? In the 80's it was one of the biggest computer vendors in the world.

Sambuca Romama!
Goes perfect with Bailey's Irish Creme.
Together they taste like chocolate-liquorish flavored paint remover!
A sip to savor then wash your palate with some Pilsner or light beer so you can taste the next sip, and the bubbles.
What can I say? It's an experience.

Sambuca is also interesting in cola, prefer cola with cane sugar not the syrupy stuff.
But now there's a problem, the profit-cheap caramel coloring they've been using is carcinogenic.

Or Sambuca shots and peeled shrimp, food of Kings!

No Martini no party!! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

then wash your palate with some Pilsner

Peroni, surely?

Spaghetti alla Carbonara (just cause drink with nothing in the stomach is not good :stuck_out_tongue: XD)
