Feasibility - Total newbie

Hi All,

I'm pretty much starting this project as a designer with no prior experience od arduino; so excuse me if the question is somewhat basic.

I'm trying to create a project based a bluetooth interface with my computer. The idea is that a touch sensor is touch, this then sends data over bluetooth to my computer and consequently starts to play a designated soundtrack via a bluetooth speaker or something. I'm looking to have plenty tracks loaded so if multiple is touched it doesn't necessary mean the prior tracks would stop.

More so is there a way to bypass the computer altogether? So it's simply touched and a loaded sound (Via the board) is played via bluetooth speaker?

What components would this need and how difficult would it be to execute it?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks so much!

You have to specify things a bit more clearly. If you have one touch sensor how does this select one of many different tracks?

More so is there a way to bypass the computer altogether?

Yes.

You have an Arduino with your touch sensor. You have a standalone MP3 player with all your tracks loaded onto an SD card. The output of the MP3 player is connected to a bluetooth audio sending module.

The DF player board is a popular one for example DFPlayer Mini Mp3 Player Module for Arduino Black J3z8 for sale online | eBay

I think that device was mage by apple, and I think it was called iPod + Bluetooth speekers. But I could be totally wrong on this and it is an ingenious new idea...

Hi Grumpy_Mike

Thanks for your help. Let me try and be more specific.

I have an object that once touched I would like a sound to play. This sound would be tied to that touch sensor, so it would only trigger on sound. My hope is that I can implement a pause etc

Will look into the dfplayer too.. thanks for your help again!

My hope is that I can implement a pause

Do you mean pause what you are playing on a channel and then later pick it up from where you left off. I am not sure how easy that is to do, it depends on if the MP3 player has the capabilities.

if multiple is touched it doesn't necessary mean the prior tracks would stop.

This happens on most MP3 players, they can only play one track at once. One that can play up yo14 tracks at once is :- WAV Trigger — Robertsonics
