no it is not.... communication is when you exchange data between two devices.... i need the phone only to feed power to the Arduino.
So my question is how to get the 5V from the usb port of the mobile phone....
I assume have a DMM and can you can figure out
how to use Google to do the last step...
I think you may be assuming too much about the iphone charging connector , like maybe that it is bidirectional. If there is a diode in there You may have to use a charger to supply the power.
"Power up" implies control.
If you had said "i would like to use a phone (iPhone or Android) to power an Arduino miniPro 5v.", then the question would have been more clear.
