Finding the Perfect Power source for my project

Hello I am currently creating a project that will use an MRK zero board, that using data coming from a bmp180 module, will find the current altitude at its position, and based on that altitude will rotate a servo by 90 degrees. the code isn't the issue, it's the power source for this project.

A GY-68 bmp180 module can withstand a power source of up to 5volts, which is similar to the servo im using at range of 4.8 to 6 volts. I can't figure out what kind of power source would work here. I could power the mkr with a 3.8 volt battery which would be enough for the bmp180, but then I'd need to use some kind of external battery thats between 4.8 to 6 volts and I seriously can't figure this out. (if more background is needed pls lmk, im still very new to Arduino)

Sorry I don't have a good wire diagram, im still a newbie and figuring it out so here is an image for reference but with a arduino uno (same idea tho)

The MRK zero board is a 3.3V only processor, but it can accept 5 to 5.5V nominal on Vin (the technical specs on line do not state the maximum input Vin voltage).

In principle you could power the servo and the MRK Zero with 4xAA batteries, but you should check the specification for the maximum allowed Vin.

From the FAQ on the Arduino board page:

I agree with you @jremington.

I would go with a 4xAA pack (6V) connected to Vin and GND of the MKR. Feed the BMP180 with 3V3 and GND of the MKR. Use another pair of wires from the AA pack to feed the servo with 6V.

This actually sounds like a great solution, but should I wire it so that two batteries power the board and the other two power the servo? (and the board powers the bmp180 module)

but MKR only has a 5v pin no?

No. 4xAA, with +6V to both the servo and Vin. Don't forget to connect all the grounds.

ohhhh, then I guess the problem would be space, I work with a 4.7 cm wide cylindrical tube, sorry I didn't mention it I thought that wouldn't become a problem. unless I can simply connect 4 seperate battery holders to two wires...

There are plenty of more sensible options, like this 4XAA battery holder.

Oh this is perfect! THANK YOU SO MUCH, I greatly apprecieate it, i know what to do!

Sorry I have to be here again but won't the 6v fry the bmp180, since thats where both the servo and the bmp module will be geting powerred?

Yes, of course. That is why you use the 3.3V output to power the BMP180.

See diagram in post #6, just below the black arrow.

Ohhh my bad i thought that mkr does not regulate, that when giving it 6volts it outputs 6volts, Thank you again!

It would be a good idea to go through the MKR user guides and other introductory material.

If that is the case then why does the photograph of your wiring show an Arduino UNO R3? These is something of a disconnect going on here.

Solder iron connected to the thumb.
