I am midway though a project to add lights and sound to my 3D printed Proton Pack replica.
All is going well. The core of the project is an Arduino Nano with the lighting being handled with Neopixels. This bit is all going very well.
For sound I have a beefy 40W class D amp, but I have hit a roadblock for how to handle controlling and playing back my sound files.
I had intended to use the Adafruit Audio FX Sound Board to drive things, which follows a guide from someone in the Ghostbusters community, but it seems they have turned to mist and I can't get hold of one for love nor money.
Digging through a few sites I came across the VS1053 Codec + MicroSD Breakout - MP3/WAV/MIDI/OGG Play + Record - v4 and I think this looks like it could do the trick...does this sound feasible/reasonable or am I totally barking up the wrong tree here?
Thanks in advance for and advice!
