I was so excited to get my very own giga,i purchased on amazon 1 together with a mega some i²c displays and 2 dot matrix. I was excited it was delivered yesterday. Everything else works ,I plugged my giga r1 to my laptop to test it and i got nothing no leds no connection sounds from laptop, so i checked rail voltages im getting 5v but no 3.3v straight out of the box brand new giga is not working. I have a mega and 3 unos that are connecting to all the ports on my laptop so its not the ports or my cables i used a dedicated usb-c data cable and still nothing i checked for shorts on the board by the lcd connections 3.3 and 5v rails and 3.3 is shorted to ground . Now if it wasnt shorted id connect my computer psu 3.3v supply to the 3.3v rail and hope nothing else is wrong with the board and it just powers up but idk where to begin looking for the short.
If you are saying it is faulty from new then I suggest you contact the seller and ask for a refund or replacement. Finding a short like that is not easy and you might invalidate your warranty by trying.

Hi, @Hansley_Maharaj
Welcome to the forum.
Sorry but I had to spread it out a bit.
It is better to make your post readable by setting things out in point form.
Good advice, I agree..
