Grasshopper+arduino+steppers

dear users
i would like to move some steppers by using a component like Firefly, or udp tools of Giulio Piacentino. does anyone have advise to realize this? How do they communicate with GH and arduino?

I dont know well how to reperesent in GH but i imagine a point and if u move it, the stepper move the same physical point following his coordinates, receiving data from GH.

Stepper motors rotate. How will you map a u, v coordinate to a rotation value?

yes my intention is to move up and down some points to replicate this kind of stuff Kinetic sculpture at the BMW Museum (by ART+COM) - YouTube so changin points in a 3d software ad GH i can say a motor to rotate some degree and have the new position.
