Hi,
My problem is exactly what's in the title; I recently purchased the Grove Beginner Kit for Arduino. When plugged into my Windows 10 laptop the board receives power and starts running some default program (which reads different sensor values and outputs them to the LCD). But my laptop doesn't recognise the board at all; I see no change in the device manager (not even 'unknown device' appears) and it doesn't make the characteristic Windows ping sound.
I've already checked my USB ports are working by plugging in/out a wired mouse and an Arduino Uno that I've used before (both of which appear just fine).
The only instruction on the website is to download the driver CP2102 driver for my OS which I think I've done correctly (I downloaded CP210x Windows Drivers and ran the x64 installer). Is there another way I can check the driver was installed properly?
I repeated the above steps on another laptop I own running Windows 11. It didn't seem to work for that laptop either but some other forums online suggested that the drivers might not be compatible with Windows 11 anyway.
