Hey guys, I'm currently busy with my first Arduino project. It's a self balancing robot, that needs to serve beer (and therefore spillage, is forbidden!).
I've been on the look out for a gyroscope that would be compatible with the Arduino (Mega 2560). It should be one axis.
I'm getting good results with the ADXL345. I'm documenting my project at http://www.den-uijl.nl/gyro.html. The documenting is lagging behind the project itself, I am using 3 gyros and 3 accelerometers and a Kalman filter to get roll and pitch data. What's on the page now may help you get started.
