Hello smart people, I'm trying to figure out how to get the number of meters from the rangefinder and get it to transfer to an arduino uno. I figured out the two wires that communicate this number, but I can't figure out how to transfer it to the arduino. Included I have a few pictures of the rangefinder and the 4 wires that connect the rangefinder to the main body. I have soldered on two wires to the two communication wires. Can someone help me with this? Thanks!
The usual approach is to use a logic analyzer to deduce the data encoding scheme. This one, with the free PulseView software should be all you need (available from lots of vendors): USB Logic Analyzer - 24MHz/8-Channel - TOL-18627 - SparkFun Electronics
Ah, ok. I'll look into it. Thanks!!
