Hall effect water sensor alternatives

Hi, do you guys know any other type of sensor to measure the water that can offer high precision with a wide flow range? So far all the sensors I have seen are pretty much the same. I have heard about Turbine flow sensors, but I cant seem to find a place to buy one for cheap, they all seem to be already made into a product.

Do you guys know anything about this?

So buy a cheap device and take the turbine out and use it in your project.

You clearly haven't been looking very hard. These things have been available in various sizes for years on ebay and cost just a few dollars.

Define "wide flow range" and "high precision".

The ones with widest flow range that I know of are the domestic water supply meters. They're also pretty high precision, <1% usually, and calibrated to boot.
