Hello,
I have an HC-ST04 ultrasonic sensor and have installed the 'newping' library. I uploaded the sketch:
FILE - EXAMPLES - NEWPING - NEWPING EXAMPLES. It uploads without error but when I go to the serial monitor is is outputting question marks in diamond shaped boxes instead of what I assume should be proximity data. I have also tried the ping example from the file menu.
I have attached a screenshot of the serial monitor as well as the circuit I am using. Any help really appreciated. Please bear in mind that I don't code and would like to send this data to Max Msp
