Firstly, welcome to the forum!

Please note post #2. Link to the topic here:

It provides helpful hints on what information to provide to help volunteers answer your query.

For example, are you running IDE 1.x or 2.x?

Hi, @hiaoa
Welcome to the forum.

Sorry, but editing your post to point form makes it easier to read.

As asked above.
YouTube link.
Your code.
Can you please post a copy of your circuit, a picture of a hand drawn circuit in jpg, png?
Hand drawn and photographed is perfectly acceptable.
Please include ALL hardware, power supplies, component names and pin labels.

Thanks... Tom.... :+1: :coffee: :australia:

Are you able to compile any other sketch, such as the example sketches in the Arduino IDE, or does this error always occur?

Which version of the Arduino IDE are you using, and what is the operating system on the computer?

Does this error occur when you are compiling/uploading the sketch in the Arduino IDE, or when you are reprogramming the 16u2 USB to serial chip on the UNO?

Assuming you installed the Atmel FLIP software to reprogram the 16u2, did you install the version that includes the Java Runtime Environment (JRE)? If not, you likely do not have JRE installed on the computer.
