Hi guys! 
We are a bunch of Italian students that have never used Arduino before but probably need it for our degree's project;
we need to make a motor move thanks to an input sound taken with a microphone: based on the frequency and intensity of the sound, a mechanical arm musts move back and forth...for exemple an high frequency would correspond to a movement to the right.
We have like no advanced competences at all so we hope you can help us!

If you have no knowledge then a good place to start is at the bottom and learn the basics. Look in the Learning tab above. When you have the basics of electronics and program structure look at audio filters for frequency selection and, how to drive a servo.
