I'm a beginner and im having trouble reading the diagram, is there any chance someone could draw me a breadboard layout sheet for the transmitter circuit?
Ive tried a lot but just cant get it working and i cant seem to do it from the photos :-/

What you not understanding? Follow the wires and connect resposively but you need to add a 10k resistor and a switch...

this is what ive done, i dont know if ive wired up the button wrong or what.
Button looks OK to me. Do you have any test equipment? Such as a multimeter?
I havent but i can borrow one.
I had 2 pairs of the transmitter/receiver so i swapped them to check.
The LED on the receiver is working and when i click the button on the transmitter the little TX button flashes on that board, its just not talking to eachother.
I dont know if ive missed something in the code I think all I have to alter is the
//#define TRANSMITTER
#define RECEIVER
depending which one im uploading to. Not many people in the comments of the blog seem to have had a problem so im not sure where im messing up
If you can borrow a multimeter, you can measure the voltage on the digital pin that's connected to the switch. With the button pressed, the voltage should drop to zero. When the button isn't pressed, ot should be 5V.
