Help with 4x4 matrix Keypad

I have been using Arduino boards and the IDE for quite a while now. I recently purchased a few 4x4 matrix keypads and I've been trying to come up with a script so each key turns on a corresponding 1/9 LEDs. I am totally stuck HELP!

I've never used it, but there's a keypad library - that might help.
