Housing and battery

Hello,

for my project, I'd like to make the Nicla sense ME board wearable.
In order to do that, I need to connect the board to a battery and build the housing which is going to contain board, battery and battery connector for re-charging the battery.

Something like this: https://blog.arduino.cc/2022/10/10/arduino-and-k-way-with-the-support-of-edge-impulse-team-up-for-a-new-idea-of-smart-clothing/

Has anyone else already approached this and might have some 3D drawings to share?

Thanks!

Tall order... many 3D designs approach the battery compartment, but you need more.

Try to take your parts and configure in how you think the enclosure would work, measure all 3 dimensions, go online and search.

You can buy all kinds of cabinets, boxes, and enclosures so you may not have to custom-fabricate one. (You normally have to drill holes for switches, controls, and connectors.)

I am working on some cases for Arduino Nicla.

Here is one acrylic for laser cutting:

I am using a 150mAh / 3.7V battery which is slightly larger than the board. Thus cases for the board with battery are getting larger than expected.

Excellent, that's the kind of solution I was looking for.
I could only found/download the .svg file, would you be willing to share the 3D files as well?

Many thanks!

Actually each of the elements in the SVG will be cut out of 3mm acryl and stacked ontop each other. You could extrude them in Blender.

Or you could try another work in progress of a Nicla box and add the 26x20x4mm room for the battery. Although it does not have any hinges yet.
