Hi everyone!!! So I'm using an Arduino mega to control and make a robotic arm. So I'm having some trouble, with actually alot of the design of this thing. But, in particular with the forearm. So I have a nema 23 motor in which needs to revolve 2 12 inch pieces of steel about 5 inches parralel to one another. How can I do this? Any suggestions?
- Google Shaft Coupler
If not, a simple drawing that explains what you want to achieve.
The normal goal for forum is helping members learn and grow in programming microcontrollers but sometimes forum is like a 911, 112 etc.
A tip: NEMA this or that brings no real information to helpers. Okey, steppers.....
Can you speak English? Are you even literate? like honestly.
wth are you trying to tell me?
Before complaining about literacy on this forum, take a long, close look at what you have written.
Good luck with your fantasy.
Yes sir sorry about that
- Good luck in finding volunteers to help in the future.
I do! I am! Do you know what literate means? Do you know how to write a complete sentence? Was it your home economics substitute teacher who taught you to start your sentences with "so" and "like" or tiktok?
Did you fail punctuation class... year? When was that... third grade? I know I was writing complete essays by the next year... Is your school one of those where no one receives a failing grade? Seems to be.
Acronyms are upper case.
You're welcome.
Without an actual dimensional drawing, which you must already have, no one can even visualize what you are building. Do you have access to a shop to do metal working? Does your attachment ever need to be moved or removed from the stepper?
He didn't post that drawing in the previous three topics on his robot arm.
I suspect this is a case of beginning a project from the end and working back to the detailed beginning.
@luke16 is taking a respite from the forum.

Locktite. At least they say in the commertials ...
Anyone using a set screw/grub screw to hold something to a round shaft, without grinding a flat for the screw, deserves the results!
As an addon: the setscrews need to have a flat end and the coupling need to have a D-hole or a key, not a simple borehole.
