I have a simple push to make switch, and I want to wire it up so that once it is pressed the code will start from the beginning? Sorry, I'm an utter noob, I've only been doing this for a short while so far. Be nice? 
The Arduino already has a "restart the code from the beginning" button. Why do you need to add another one?

Because it needs to be from a switch connecting to some long long wires, where as that button is on the board itself.

So just take a switch with some long wires and hook them up to the GND and RESET pin...
