How about not sending them?
The big concern here is that "String"s - capital "S" version - are not handled well by microcontrollers with limited memory and generally lead to mysterious crashes after some time of repetitive use. 
In general they should not be used, you can use little "s" strings for which you specifically reserve memory to start with.
