How to connect a 220v ac to atransforme and then to arduino

l'm making a project where i use 220 v ac and then reducing it to 12v ac using transformer but i don't know how to connect it to the arduino , what components to use and how to connect it to the arduino , this circuit is ac to ac converter using urduino

You dont need a converter to convert ac to ac

The transformer does the conversion from 220 V AC to 12 V AC. No use for an Arduino so far.
