How to create a QR code scanner by Arduino?

Hello everyone, I have a project to build a QR code scanner using Arduino. But I Do not know the how to do?

Please help. :~

Can I ask at how you arrived at the decision to use Arduino?

I thought to make scanner cheap and surprising. So, i took the decision. But am I wrong? :disappointed_relieved:

But am I wrong?

It depends on what function the Arduino is intended to fulfill and what your performance criteria are. If an AVR processor can be made to emulate an ARM and boot Linux, then I'm sure what you want to achieve is doable, but it really depends on how patient you are.

A quick Google search for 'qr code reader hardware' list several devices that will read and decode the QR code and send it over RS232 to something like an Arduino.

They do seem to fail the 'cheap' requirement though.

Who said anything about cheap :D These types of devices are nearly always expensive as they are primarily sold to businesses. AWOL's answer of using linux on a certain ARM system with a webcam would probably be cheaper.

Who said anything about cheap

The OP did, in reply #2

Oops, missed that. Well if they did the Google search I got the surprising part right :D
