Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding interfacing ad7710 adc ic using arduino uno board.
I am not familiar about how to interface external ADC on Arduino board so ....
This is the ADC that i want to interface on board.
Can you SMD solder?
Do you have access to a SMD work station?
Would you have been better off to had purchased a premade module?
Did you use this thing
and some words to see if someone else has been there before?
Datasheet
Here is the data sheet for AD7710. From what I've read it looks like the ADC uses SPI communication.
This adc is used on digital scale.
at the moment, scale is not displaying data on the screen. the screen has dysfunctional some how. so thats why i want to interface through uno board or any other board
- Get 24 pin-pin jumpers.
- Remove pins from one side of the jumpers.
- Take out 1/4" insulation from all the jumpers.
- Nicely, tin all the open end wires using solder.
- Tine all the pins of the ADC chip.
- Solder the jumper wires with the pins of the ADC.
- Place the 24 pins of the jumper wires on a good quality breadboard in two isolated rows
- Once you have completed the above tasks, then try with the following setup and codes.
