How to use a old Computer/Android tv Box as Arduino/ Arduino Firmware?

Now, I know that this is a bit of a stupid question, but I really want to get started with Arduino in any way I can. Is it possible to flash or put Arduino's firmware on something like an Android TV box chip? If this is too broad or stupid, please let me know. I just want to start tinkering with Arduino without having to go out and pay for all this. I searched many forums for this and could not find one. If you have suggestions for pre-existing forums about this topic, please let me know. I apologize again if I'm using the wrong forum.

I can't say that it is impossible but, very very very unlikely. Buy a cheap Uno clone or better yet an Uno with a starter kit.

Hey digitaldina,

Without knowing if this is at all possible (i think it isn't) the more important question is why. The point of the arduino is not just the chip but also the board on which it sits. Arduino is great because it is easy to use because of this board, without it the advantage is sort of lost. What is your project or why do you want to tinker? Arduinos are usually not that expensive, and I think they are very much worth the investment.

Hope that helps a bit.

No.

Hi

You said that you really want to get started with Arduino in any way you can, without having to spend any money. In that case try a simulator: UnoArduSim .

I recommend you to download the 1.7.3 version.

Good luck
