How to use pyrotechnic rocket altimeter with Arduino?

Hello,
I have to use a rocket altimeter. To be precise one of these:

The problem is that I don't use a pyrotechnic recovery system, instead I have to power up a dc motor at a certain altitude. But altimeters only work for enough time to ignite blackpowder. To see how it looks like, you can check this video (minute -> 3:30)

Do you know any way to do that? Such as a switch or circuit that will be activated right after the activation of ignition system, or anything else. So I can use an Arduino to control dc motor.

The altimeter device can power a motor -- the outputs are specified to handle 6 Amperes.
According to the product web page, you can program the on time of the outputs.

Perhaps you should spend some time studying the product documentation.
