Hi, I am a beginner and am looking for projects to do with my arduino uno (r3) beginners kit. I have already completed the projects in the book, and I am looking for more! So, if anyone has recommendations for me, please tell me. (I have too much free time lol)
Get yourself a bunch of weather/environment sensors, a ethernet shield, and a SD card module, and build a fully functional web weather station. Add a RF module and have external sensors that report back to the main board, and display multiple stations on the website (different rooms, shed, outdoors)
Get a few 2.4GHz radios in fixed locations sending out their individual ID, then a mobile unit that reads them, works out their RSSI, and triangulates its own location based on that.
Make a piano, which plays some sounds (it is easy, take buttons, transistor, few resistors and piezzo)
Now, when it works, lets improve it - make it play up to two tones at the same time (uno have 3 timers, one for millis(), two can be used to serve two different piezos, or maybe two transistors to one piezzo)
add SD card and record your play - I would use something like
{
time_delta // how much time from previous record
channel[0..1] {
bool tone_off; // should tone end now?
bool tone_on; // should new tone start?
frequency;
}
}
and then let it play back
in main loop you may implement metronome, which would click the Piezzo with another transistor at regular times (configurable, or set by potentiometer on analog pin)
If you have really lot of time and energy and buy just few more cheap items at price of normal dinner all together (connectors, 74HC chips..), you may make yourself programmable computer like this (UNO and Nano are basically identical except for dimensions)
Hey there! I don’t know whether u have tried that or not, but I really suggest making projects using the hc-05 BT module and connecting these projects to mobile apps. (U can use MIT app inventor as an app-creating software for instance, which works for both IOS and android and is easy to learn)
I really had a lot of fun making projects with it. U can make an RC car or a remote-controlled room lights, I switched my room lights to be remote controlled using a servo motor and this module connected to a nano arduino
The one (from this topic I can try first) I want to do is from the website @xfpd recommended because it’s feasible with the materials I already have.
