I need help linking Arduino with Excel VBA

Hello there!

I'm trying to link arduino with excel to get data from an LVDT. I've read several forums but I don't know how to get started.

Do I need a DLL file to link excel with arduino via activeX or does it work with serial port and how to do it?

I'm a beginner so any help is highly appreciated

I don't know VBA or Windows stuff but the examples in serial input basics may be useful for the Arduino end of things.
