HELP! TFT LCD shield shows a blank white screen no matter what I do

Yes, I have been doing some "installing by hand". How do you tell the difference between a user library and a system library? And yes, I did find MCUFRIEND_kbv.cpp, and changed the 10th line. I got the error I mentioned earlier when I uploaded the edited version. Thanks for all your help, I have to go. I'll be back when I get a chance. Thanks again, Bye
