IF ARE GOING TO TRY THIS, DO IT WITH YOUR OWN RISK AND DO NOT BLAME ME IF YOU FAIL.
I was maybe just super lucky when i got this to work without any electronic equipment's.
I had a very poor range with the unit mentioned in this topic. The two units had the same problem, the range was about 1 meter. Sensor battery replaced. It did not help. Additional antenna, no help. I also found a message from a person with 4 RF units, two of which had more than 3 coils of inductive loops. Those with "extra" loops didn't work, he said. I had the "right ones" but the range was poor.
Then I took a risk because I had nothing to loose and turned the trimmer on board slightly to clockwise, and ta-daa, range extended as much as I have room in my apartment to test, which is a bit less than 10 meters. More than enough for my needs.
I’ve worked on such tuning issues in the past, and I know how accurate tuning is.
I marked the original tuning state by small screwdriver, gently to the trimmer, if my "tuning" won't work, but for me it did.
Look at the small dot in the direction of 3 o'clock. That was the original state.
