Hi everybody,
as my next project I want to build a µC-based small synthesizer.
So I was locking for I2S-modules.
There is the MAX98375 which has even an integrated BTL 3W apmlifier.
Though Adafruit explains
quoting
"The audio input is I2S standard, you can use 3.3V or 5V logic data. The outputs are "Bridge Tied" - that means they connect directly to the outputs, no connection to ground.
The output is a ~300KHz square wave PWM
that is then 'averaged out' by the speaker coil - the high frequencies are not heard. All the above means that you can't connect the output into another amplifier, it should drive the speakers directly."
Now I am searching for an I2S-Decoder with line-in-compatible output.
I don't want to use a small 3W 4 Ohm speaker I want to feed in the audio-signal in any kind of Audio-amplifier.
No PWM, real audio at 0,7V to 1V voltage-level = line-in compatible
I found a product at adafruit
but it is discontinued
Of course I could order from china / alieexpress. But I prefer higher quality.
So does anybody know of a nother I2S-decoder-modul without amplifier
= line-in compatible input
The other option would be to insert a "low-pass"-filter with edge-frequency 20 kHz behind a MAX98357. To filter out the 300 kHz PWM. But I have no idea if this still sounds good.
(just kidding: maybe adding a "talkbox")
best regards Stefan
