IDE 2.3.10: Tools menu are sometimes lost

@ptillisch
From time to time, my IDE 2.3.10 loses the Tools menu even while it is otherwise operating normally. When this happens, I have to close the IDE from the desktop taskbar and then switch to IDE 1.8.19 to continue my work.

Hi @GolamMostafa. Is the absence of the "Tools" menu the only unexpected thing you observe when the fault occurs? Or do you see other strange things in the Arduino IDE window?

I am waiting to see the fault again; once it happens, I will post the screenshot.

You might not have gotten the message shown in below topic; the title bar also disappeared.

There are a few tips to get a normal IDE back again; it can take more than 1 attempt but the IDE should be normal again after 2 or 3 attempts.

That was also the first thing that came to my mind. However, I don't know if it matches perfectly against the " loses the Tools menu" description.

Here we can see a screenshot of how Arduino IDE looks when that specific fault occurs:

You can see the "Tools" menu, but it is overlayed by the X close window icon, so not easy to access. The "Help" menu is absent completely (though if I increase the window width, the "H" from the menu title does come into view at the far right hand edge of the window. However, even if I change the window width to the minimum dimensions, the "Tools" still remains visible.

I have seen something like this a few times.

Most if not all of the time as @sterretje mentioned.

Sometimes maybe if a first Arduino window is updating one or more libraries or boards and I try to open up new window either new or example or recent… sometimes it comes up missing things and not fully functional
