Ide v2 is useless without internet

I've downloaded and installed v2 on my computer. I have no internet connection so I can't use it. Everyone doesn't live where internet is accessible. Why would anyone wanting to sell their products do something like that?

Does it not have board libraries?

IDE 2.x currently loads the standard board files from the Internet (they are not libraries) when it is first run

I believe that there is work being done to change that

But it is a fact of life that even when that is fixed you will still need an Internet connection in order to install third party boards. This has always been the case and the same goes for libraries beyond the standard ones

There are also other related problems that have been noted
