I want to use a sound sensor to alert me via my Amazon Alexa Echo decides that my clothes dryer is done indicated by a loud buzzing sound.
Which devices do you have to make this happen? Maybe have a sound module (DFPlayerMini) play a sound ("Alexa... announce dryer is done") when a sound (that is louder than the dryer) is detected.
