I have made an IR remote using Arduino nano. The remote has 4 x 7 keypad (28 buttons) and 5 LEDs.
It uses a customized RC6 protocol. My main concern is power consumption. Can someone please help me understand how to make it consume less energy so i can hook it up with a bunch of cells or a 9v battery.
I have seen some sleep modes but Arduino Playground - ArduinoSleepCode they say its not very effective due to the inefficient power regulation circuit.
