I want to build a handheld theremin. Im aware of OPEN THEREMIN project.
I assume that hand holding the unit would get in the way of using the body as a capacitor.
and the need to ground the uno board.
sorry Im a newb.
Using a proximity sensor would get around this I assume.
any general thoughts appreciated.
cheers

Does the touch input of your smartphone work while holding it in the hand? It uses a capacitive sensor to read your inputs.
and the need to ground the uno board.
It makes sensing easier but it isn't necessary as above example shows.
