I've hit a wall..... Some guidance appreciated.

Hello all. New to arduino but have tinkered for ever. Limited electronics experience but not totally green, same with IT and programming.

I have hooked an uno board upto a bluetooth shield (ITEAD BT V2.1) with mobile phone and got simple PIN13 onboard LED on off sketch running fine reading and writing to uno and phone. I also have a box of 27 basic shields i am using to experiment with.

My inpatient mind has to build first then figure out how it works and how i can adapt to my own needs. This isn't working with arduino. I cant find examples using the shields i have and they have added onboard components which i have no clue about . Ya all gonna tut but can I get a simple thermostat to work... can I Billy Oh. I have most of the e-books floating aaround online but they are confusng the hell out of me with different styles and techniques.

Via bluetooth to my mobile, I want to read and log temps. I have shields for 3 different sensors to play with. I am not neccessarily lookin for the code but a link to a decent tutorial using temp shields. I know its something as simple as changing my search criteria to find the info but i keep hitting a wall.

Major thanx in advance.

In the best case some identifier is printed onto the modules. Frequently Keyes modules (KY-nnn) are cloned, you'll find overviews e.g. in the TkkrLab wiki, search for KY or go to the Arduino_37_sensors page. But don't expect too much.

As my eldest son would say... "Fella.... your a 'G'.."

I used to MOD xbox's and playstations amongst other things when I was in my prime but could I get past this. A simple change of search criteria or train of thought and suddenly all becomes clear.

Thank you.
