Maybe, maybe not, rather depends on the application.

Perhaps describe the actual project like what is this 1GB of data and where is it coming from and going to, how long does it need to take, etc.

what's the exact problem you are trying to solve?

yes. Not sure what you would do with that or how long it would take, but technically you can send data...

any radio would do or if a wired connection is possible, then that's possible too (15m is a bit far for a direct Serial connection so some hardware would be required)

The choice of over the air or wired and the expected throughput and quality of transmission will guide the choice
