just noticed, i have a lot of music files.

2083 MP3 files :o 8.14GB :o :o

that's about 93 hours of listening :o

I suppose i could thin it out a bit, but then i would likely have a need to listen to those songs. does this make me a music hoarder?

...and I think that I'm not a maniac.

Ha Ha Ha, I just counted last night. Funny the topic came up here today.

I have over 100,000 audio files taking up almost 1.5TB.

Another 3.5TB of movies and TV.

I got triple that in Grateful Dead alone.

Buzzkill.

I want an MP3 player that will connect to any USB stick or portable hard drive and play from there.
Like the older Neuros Audio player, but with a better display and USB stick interface.

I still have a Neuros Audio with USB2 interface and 80GB harddrive that we use for music at my fencing club, just waiting for the day when it no longer starts up, as 2 others have done. Afraid to unplug it and take it home to change the music in case it won't start up.
Haven't found any help online on getting them working after that happens. Thought it was dead battery, replacing it did not help.

Oh, you're one of THOSE. (Kevin, is that you? )

You mean, like many current smart phones (I think. Connecting them to a USB stick is a mere matter of mechanics; but I don't know whether any of them have music management SW worth anything.)

I've got about 4500 songs. It's pretty easy when you load up all the Rise Up Singing "Teach tapes" and occasionally buy those "99 classics by for $0.99" collections...)
