LCD 128x64 7920 problem

I think what is left is activate Serial.print

That video on youtube is a complete waste of time, bandwidth, etc.
It conveys absolutely no information at all.
it is yet another youtube video of "LOOK AT WHAT I CAN DO"

I am going to assume that this is you.

Re: Metal detector dc42 improvment

Your soldering. You are using way to much heat.
When you start melting and burning the insulation of wire you are using too much heat.
What size solder are you using?
Please do not tell me that you are using lead based solder.

In soldering, use the least amount of solder possible.

have you updated Arduino IDE to 1.8.5?

ted:
I have clicked on 1.8.5 and it's appeared 1.8.6
I want to have display to work as on the link.

What are you clinking on?
I just checked, Arduino IDE latest stable version is 1.8.5
The Beta version is 1.9.0

Where did you download this version from?

Where are you getting this 1.8.6 version number?

The Arduino IDE for windows is 1.8.5.
https://www.arduino.cc/download_handler.php?f=/arduino-1.8.5-windows.zip

I downloaded it and looked at the zip archive contents, it is Arduino-IDE-1.8.5

please post a screenshot of the 1.8.6 version number.

  • That's what hobbyist do.
Burned soldered wires - result of reusing them, for prototyping it is enough.
When it is need I solder as on pic.
    Yes improvement is me.
I was trying to update to 1.8.5, I click on it to download it, after installation it is said: 1.8.6.0
    https://www.arduino.cc/en/main/software

I have annotated the dc42 schematic to clarify the schematic.

Can you clarify?

ted:

this is a photograph of what exactly?

  1. 4 and 9 together, 5 not connected to them.
  2. 470 ohm
    3.100 ohm
  3. 47nF
  4. 100 nF
  5. 47 kilo ohm and 220 pF

quality of my soldering, I soldered the chip.

So you are telling me that you have either a Surface mount Solder Oven
or a Surface mount rework station with Hot Air gun.

So what solder paste did you use?

You definitely did not do that with a hand held soldering iron.

Definitely hand held soldering iron - many years of experience, regular soldering paste.

What brand of solder paste?

Back to issues at hand

Explain about the Arduino IDE version 1.8.6 for windows.

A very old soldering iron 65W, no name on it - is gone.
My own designed tip allows me to work with SMD very easy.

Soldering paste used by plumbers, it is the same as you buy in electronics stores but much much cheaper

I don't know how to explain, I downloaded 1.8.5 and get 1.8.6, I don't think that the issue is in IDE I need to figure out how to tell the program to display on the screen what is on the end of DC42 program instead Hallo World.

Have you asked the author of the youtube video?
Have you asked on the other forum where you are a member?

I asked in many places so far no one know the answer, DC42 is not responding, youtube guy also.
Check my last post in improvement side.

post a screenshot of the Arduino IDE display with version number

post a photograph of the back of the Hobby Components LCD.

once i know that you have Arduino IDE 1.8.5 installed.
I will help further.

You basically want someone to write the Arduino Sketch for you.
Show some effort on your part.

I have appointments today. I will be back later.

Show some effort on your part.- Just , Signal generator +TDA2030+oscilloscope = 70cm range for coca cola can. - Above second pic, and I see a possibility to increase the range over 1m
