Hey i need to make a temperature controller with arduino for a school project, but i'm having alot of trouble finding an LCD display and a 4x4 keypad that can fit on the arduino uno, i have to have an NTC resistor, a transistor for relay control, an LCD and a 4x4 keypad connected to an arduino uno at the same time, but i cant seem to find anything with less enough pins to all fit in there.
since the school is paying it would be prefered if you could get me a link from one of these websites, since the school is paying:
not sure if the sites come in english, but if not google translate can translate full homepages
so to sum up, i need:
an LCD display (with integrated character chart)
a 4x4 keypad
Here is my design. No 4x4 keypad but the keypad is more than enough to enter anything you want with included software, the phi_prompt.
I don't know what type of proof of purchase you need but I believe dipmicro.com processes credit card purchases and has receipts but inmojo.com doesn't have it.
Looks awsome, i could probably use that one for a home project but the one i need for a school project is just the LCD screen, and it cant use up too many I/O pins, so if anyone knows somew awsome and preferably cheap plain LCD with an internal character generator it'd be perfect.
If you trust ebay, you can get an lcd for $4 (shipping included) but they don't give out receipts like the OP might need. So compared with a plain LCD, the I2C extender, which doesn't include the lcd and costs $10 + shipping, is kind of high. The sparkfun serial lcd is high too, around $25.
So 6 pins communication is $4 and up, 2 pin communication is at least $14 and up. The OP can decide on these facts himself then.
