Hi, I am wanting to control 16 individual 2 leg led in multiple configurations. They are part of a model of a Babylon 5 starfury in construction as thrusters meaning in one state 8 leds would be lit. Can someone give advise as to hardware etc
Welcome to the forum
You posted in the IoT Cloud category of the forum. Are you intending to control the LEDs via the 'net ?
Yes, with an Arduino, two shift registers and some power.
Hello jstallard
Welcome to the best Arduino forum ever ![]()
Take some time a make a forum search for "led chaser" to get some ideas and started.

This is a print out of what led's will be fired, am using chromebook so limited as to what can be used, any advice would be greatfull
I think I understand, but, "I" need an explanation. The outlined numbers are the LED numbers. The STATIC numbers are, if "roll left" occurs, blink the numbers... in sequence? together? The FORWARD numbers are in sequence? together?
Yes, the rear engines would be all in activation during activity so they could be on a separate switch. It is the set of led's that represent up, down, roll, etc that would need control in unison when needed. As some of the led's would be activated in different manoeuvres I am unsure how to go about it. My intention is to control them via remote, motion sensor or joystick (suggestion).
Start with creating a schematic and controlling the LEDs with a pushbutton then an automatic digital pin level. When LED control is established, add another device (you mention three means of control) to the project and re-test.
