lighting project - all the gear no idea!

Hi everyone,
I'm a complete beginner when it comes to micro controllers, electronics etc but I'm happy with coding.
my first project with my arduino uno is to control a strip of LED lights that I got on ebay:
cheap 12v led strip
which is the first part of a home automation network I want to build. I'm off work for awhile due to illness so have a LOT of time on my hands!

I purchased this relay board, mostly so I can expand in the future:
Relay board

a box full of wires, resistors, breadboards and things from amazon:

starter kit from amazon

and finally this (Not using the stepper motor at the moment but thought the driver board would come in handy)

Stepper motor and driver board

so, I've got what I think should be a good base for the project but after unpacking it all and looking at it, I've no idea of how to put it all together!

Does anyone know of any tutorials I could follow or guides to use that would help me piece the puzzle together please?

Many thanks
Paul

You do realize you linked to a Rasberry Pi starter kit and this is the Arduino forum?

If you are using an Arduino here is a tutorial from Adafruit to get you started.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply, I was just heading here to update this thread!
The only reason I mentioned the Pi Starter kit is because of its cables, resistors, LED's etc.
Cheers for the link, I found this one on instructables which looks fairly straight forward:
