Lightsaber from scratch

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the whole Arduino experience and i had he "brilliant" idea of building a lightsaber using Arduino parts.

The problem that i have is that i don't know if i have all the parts needed do build the thing that i want to build and also i have completely no idea when it comes to coding all of those parts together to make them work.

My goal is to build two of them before the premier of the new Star Wars movie. One i would like to keep for myself and the other one will donated or sold and the money given to a Polish charity organization called " Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy"

If you are interested in helping me find a solution for my problem then down below you will find the parts that i have and the ones that i have ordered.

That is all that i have at this moment if i need to buy something else just let me know.

I imagine that there can be a couple of scenarios on the electronics for the lightsaber can be build.

1
With the use of a button I want to achieve that the LED's will fade in fast and then start to flicker rapidly. Then with the same button I want to fade out and turn off.

2
Same as 1 but haveing the "turning on sound", humming and then the "turning off sound".

3
Same as 1 and 2 but using the vibration sensor I want the lightsaber to register clashes, flicker when the clash happens and make a sound.

4
Same as 1,2 and 3 but with the use of the gyroscope i would like to achieve that when you move the lightsaber you can hear the "woosh" sound

5
same as 1,2,3 and 4 this would be the ultimate form. Adding a second speaker i would like to hear the constant humming of the lightsaber and all the clashing/"wooshing" effects.

If you want to help me in any way i would much appreciate it.

Again thank you if you are interested in helping me, and may the force be with you.

Best regards,

Bartosz ( PL) / Bart (ENG )

P.S

Sorry if i made any major errors

P.P.S

Yes i know that you can buy a lightsaber of eBay or have one made but the cost of purchasing and shipping of such a thing would cost me... around three monthly paychecks...
