LILYGO T3 S3-Meshcore

Hello, I own a LILYGO T3 S3-Meshcore v1.15 device. I bought a battery for the device, I connected it properly to the board, and the battery is not charging. I tried various USB cables, chargers, and nothing. I read somewhere that you need to write some code via Arduino and upload it to the device, and then the battery will start charging. Can someone please help me how to write it and upload it to the device? Thank you very much

Battery

Your question does not relate to a sensor, so I moved it in a more general category.

I don't think there is a PMU for this board, it's a self-contained hardware charger IC so whenever the board sees USB power, completely independently of whatever firmware is running on the ESP32-S3, it should be charging.

May be best to contact them on their web site ? (might be a defective unit or are you sure you did not plug it in the wrong way , confirm pitch and polarity against the board's connector, etc ? )

According to the board description, it compatible to the Li-ioh battery, but the battery on the link is Li- Pollymer type.

Li-ion and LiPo are electrically almost identical for this use, same 3.7V nominal voltage and same charge curve, so the board's charging circuit treats them the same, since the charging IC does not distinguish between the two chemistries.

The main difference is packaging and protection, LiPo packs sold for this kind of project usually come with a protection circuit built into the JST connector, while a bare Li-ion cell like an 18650 often does not.

Sorry, I copied the link from Alliexpres wrong, I put a battery from a Lilygo T-Embed CC1101 Plus into the T3 S3, because my T-Embed broke down, so I used a battery from the broken device, the battery was charged and my T3 S3 worked normally until the battery ran out and could not be charged.
