I'm trying to create a symbol library for common Arduino modules. Working on Adafruit Triple-axis Magnetometer - LIS3MDL [STEMMA QT / Qwiic] : Adafruit Industries, Unique & fun DIY electronics and kits which brought a question about the LIS3MDL.

The module seems to be usable with 3.3V and 5V (e.g. level shifters and voltage regulator). However this should only be possible if the INT and DRDY pins are open collector/drain. Trying to find that in the LIS3MDL datasheet seems impossible. I would expect a specific mention of it or a VOL for the those pins without a VOH.

Am I missing something?

I don't want to assume, we all know what the result usually will be.

Note:
I have the same issue with Adafruit's LSM9DS1 board.

They are outputs. Adafruit assumes that 3.3V levels are sufficient to communicate with any microcontroller.

I did overlook that a 3.3V output level will (usually) be sufficient for more modern electronic components.
