Someone else will eventually have a similar problem. If you aren't forthcoming, no one learns but you.

We are in the jobs and paid consultancy - so not the same sharing rule apply
Fair enough, though he got, seemingly, quite a ways with the free help. If he came to a resolution with a paid service, I'd expect it to have been mentioned, but maybe not. Anyway, what's over is over.
