Hello,
Today my 7" makerfabs matouch tft was arrived. Very nice and clean screen. But one disappointing thing, it is not recognize on my macbook pro. Even when update the driver. But it is running on windows-10 under parallels on the same macbook!
I also own a 3.5" tft from the same makers, and this is running on the macbook without any problems!
Hi @PowerSoft. Please try this troubleshooting procedure and then report your results in a reply on this forum thread:
This procedure is not intended to solve the problem. The purpose is to gather more information.
Unplug the USB cable of your Arduino board from your computer if it is currently connected.
Click the Apple logo on the left side of the menu bar at the top of the screen ("Apple menu").
Select "System Settings..." from the menu.
A "System Settings" window will open. Click "General" in the menu on the left side of the window. ⓘ You may need to scroll the menu down to see "General".
Click "About" on the panel at the right side of the "System Settings" window.
The "About" panel will open. Click the "System Report..." button at the bottom of the panel.
The "System Information" window will now open. Select Hardware > USB from the tree on the left side of the window.
Take note of the contents of the "USB Device Tree" panel of the "System Information" window.
Connect the Arduino board to your computer with a USB cable.
Select File > Refresh Information from the menu bar.
Do you see any new device appear in the "USB Device Tree" panel of the "System Information" window after doing the last step?
OK, this indicates that it is recognized at the operating system level, which means that the problem is at a higher layer.
Which version of Arduino IDE are you using (e.g., "2.0.1")? The version is shown on the window title bar and also in the Help > About (or Arduino IDE > About Arduino IDE for macOS users) dialog.
I ask for this information because I want to give you the appropriate instructions for the IDE version you are using.
Tanks for your effort.
Problem is solved. The Makersfab 7" has 2 usb-c ports, USB-TTL and USB_NATIVE.
Have used the wrong usb-c port. After changing the port all is working perfect.
USB_NATIVE is the one needed to communicate with my Macbook.
