MAX31855 S Breakboard

I am searching for a MAX31855 mounted with the chip MAX31855SASA+. This chip is adopted to type S thermocouples. Unfortunately, I cant find any breakout boards with this chip mounted.

  1. Am I the only one with this need?
  2. If not, should it be possible to get Adafruit or any other to deliver such a board?

There are partially populated breakout boards (just add the chip), and bare breakout boards (just the board) available on ebay, or you could use a generic SOIC-8 breakout board.

Typically, ready-made breakout boards are available only for the most common parts. S-type thermocouples are kinda exotic.

Thanks a lot DrAzzy! I will try ebay to see if this can be an option. The other way to solve it is the software way. I got some hints here. See the late comments in the thread.

I'm also on the need of MAX31855 for type S thermocouple, any solutions found?

I found that there is next generation of this chip, called MAX31856 available, and can work on S thermocouples.
