Maze Solver, First Time (Newbie)

I don't know under which title to open this topic, so I'm sharing it here. Thank you.

I have never used Arduino before, but I know programming languages.

What do I need to make a simple maze solver? (materiel)

I'm also trying to understand the philosophy of this. How to solve the maze? There are three ways I know. The first way is random. Second road mapping. The third way is to turn in only one direction. Is there any other way? What are the differences? Can you suggest a source?

My native language is not English.

Assuming that you have designed/chosen a suitable autonomous device that actually explores the maze, then are there any rules that have been set for this challenge?
